Continuing on with producing features that our customers request, Avantex are proud to offer the ability to create your own custom menus within CableSolve. Menus such as 'telnet', 'ssh', 'browse' or 'ping' can be created and further enhance the usability of your inventory database.

CableSolve's Web Interface and Dashboards
An even more advanced web interface has bee provide with CableSolve R6.
New functionality and a new reporting enqine allow organisations to ability to show 'Dash Boards' that automatically update at a specified time (e.g. 5 minutes).
Some of our clients have used this to show the current capacity of their Data Centre (e.g. Rack Space Capacity & Rack Power Utilisation), or to show statistics on the amount of free switch or patch panel ports.
CableSolve Web Dash BoardsThere are many reports that can be dispalyed on the Dash Board within the CableSolve web interface. The Reports are configured on the desktop and can be set to automatically updated (within a specified period) on the Dashboard. The reports can be displayed in either a Line Chart format, or a Pie Chart. |
Automatic Updating Football Field ViewsThe CableSolve web interface can also be setup to automatically update the Football field views. This can be useful to show when a rack has exceeded it's allocated power allotment. Users are then able to drill down to find out what piece of equipment is drawing the most power at any particular time. |
Switch Port CapacityAnother report that is often used on the Dashboard is to display available switch ports withint your DC. This is useful for future planning and can assist with project management for Server Consolidation, or just day-to-day Rack and Stacking. |

Rack LayoutsRack Layouts are also available on the web interface. In fact, most of the functionality of the desktop and hand held computers is available to be viewed on the web interface. User are able to modify the contents of the rack layouts directly from the web interface. |
Viewing Components & ConnectivityThe web interface has been designed to replicate the format and functionality of the desktop and hand held version. As such, viewing components, their attributes and their connectivity can all be performed via the web interface, in the same manner as you would on the desktop version. |
