CableSolve 6.2 Release

To get the New Year off to a flying start, Avantex are pleased to announce that CableSolve R6.2.0 is now available for download to our customers.

The major focus of this new release is to bring you a brand new web interface.

Clients are now able to perform full read-write on the database, new dashboards, combined front and back rack layouts, full end-to-end connectivity being amongst some of the new features.

Recording and reporting on historical data, such as Power Consumption, Rack Capacity, Weight and almost any other attribute in the system can also be displayed within the web interface.

CableSolve goes Mobile - CableSolve is now available for the iphone, ipad, Android and Blackberry devices.

One of the major strength's of CableSolve has always been it's Windows Mobile interface. Coupled with the industries best hand held scanners (from Motorola), capturing data, or having access to all your records in the palm of your hand has been one of the major components as to why our clients continue to use CableSolve compared to our competitors.

We are now proud to annouce that CableSolve has been released for the iphone, ipad, Android operating system (phones and tables) and certain Blackberries.

Customised Menus - Ping and Telnet from within CableSolve

For those customers using CableSolve R6 and above, you are able to add your own customised menus to run 'external' programs.

This continues to expand the functionality of CableSolve and ensures our customers get the most functionality from within our software.

Some examples of usage are:

• Ping a device in the system, just by adding in it's IP Address.
  
  
• Telnet, SSH, or any other application to let you connect to a device.
  
  
• Historical data is stored in an external data-warehouse style database, which allows does not grow the 'standard' CableSolve database, allowing clients to determine their size and time-frames for storing this information without the worry of increasing the inventory database.

Hand Held Scanners - Windows Mobile 6.5 Upgrade

Avantex are pleased to announce that Windows Mobile 6.5 is now supported on the MC55 hand held scanner range.

At this stage, a registry key change is required, as winmob 6.5 includes 'large' icons by default.

There are several reasons to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5, the major reason being increased speeds whilst using CableSolve.

Please contact your local business partner, or Avantex directly to obtain information on upgrading your scanners. Customers with a valid PSA are able to download the upgrade directly from the Avantex Portal located at http://www.avantex.com.au/forums.

New Features - CableSolve R6.1.6 and the Road Ahead

CableSolve R6 has been available for over 12 months now and continues to grow, with new and enhanced features to ensure that our customers continue to receive the best software in the market.

We continue to look at the latest trends in Data Centre, Cable and Inventory Management to ensure that we are delivering the best product we can. We also receive many requests from our existing and potential customers that make their way in to future releases of our software.

Some of the features to look forward to in the future releases include:
