Labels & Barcodes

Avantex is a provider of premium Thermal Transfer Barcode labels.

We have spent a considerable amount of time over the past 8 years to determine which is the best product on the market to suit our customer needs. This does not mean that our barcodes are the most expensive, but we believe that the products that we use have, and will continue to, stand the test of time.

Avantex has provided many 10's of thousands of printed labels to our existing customers. They are used for patch cables, equipment (switches, servers, pc's etc), patch panels, computer racks, outside plant work (ie, pits, pipes and conduits) and even users desks.

Our labels are available in both 1d and 2d formats. Two of our standard labels include:

Patch Cords (both Fibre and Copper)

Self Laminating 300DPI Thermal Transfer labels with 38mm clear overwrap

These labels are 'wrapped' around either fibre or Copper cables and are suitable for Cat 3, 5e, 6, 6A & 7 or OM1, 2, 3 & 4 and OS1.

For additional flexibility on fibre fly-leads, additional 'pac-man' fasteners can also be supplied.

2dbarcode

Equipment Labels

White Polyester 300DPI thermal transfer Label with standard adhesive

These labels are suitable for all servers, switches, patch panels and miscellaneous equipment.

We are able to print in both 1d and 2d formats, to suit a clients needs.

Personalised & Tamperproof Labels

These labels are suitable for all servers, switches, patch panels and miscellaneous equipment.

Further, labels can be ordered that are 'tamper proof' and will destruct if a person tries to remove them once they have been applied to the device.

Labels for Fibre

There are various solutions to help customers with labels for fibre, but in our experience, the best option on the market is to utilise the Panduit range of Label sleeves.

With the combination of the Self Laminating 300DPI Thermal Transfer labels (above), a flexible and durable solution can be found.

Avantex use Zebra 300 and 600 dpi industrial strength Thermal Transfer printers. Throughout our many years in the industry, our label suppliers have proven to be the class leader, with an almost zero failure scan rate.

Each batch of barcodes is quality tested prior to leaving the factory with either a Motorola MC50 or MC55 scanner, ensuring that the composition and aspect ratio are well within the standards.

Note 1: In general, TWO labels per barcode number are required.

Note 2: Avantex recommends that barcodes for modular patch cords or 4 pair jumper wire utilise a 1-dimensional barcode of no more than 8 digits (no punctuation marks).

Note 3: Two dimensional barcodes are recommended for "Reverse patch cords" to enable a suitably sized barcode to be used on the headshell.
