Continuing on with producing features that our customers request, Avantex are proud to offer the ability to create your own custom menus within CableSolve. Menus such as 'telnet', 'ssh', 'browse' or 'ping' can be created and further enhance the usability of your inventory database.

How can CableSolve integrate to other systems?
CableSolve is supplied with a full bi-directional API (Application Programming Interface).
With this interface, organisations are able to 'link' the CableSolve database to any other system on the market.
Several of our clients have chosen to link to systems such as BMC Remedy ®, HP Openview ® and others. For security purposes, organisations may wish to have the data only passing in one direction (ie, from HP Openview to CableSolve) to ensure that only one system is the 'master', as pre recommendations for a CBMD in ITIL.
With this flexibility, you are not locked in to only using one software package to manage your infrastructure, but have the control to ensure that all of your systems contain the latest and most accurate data.

One of Avantex's clients choose to export their new equipment purchases from their r financial system and had them automatically upload in to CableSolve. By creating some simple middleware (which we can help with, or create from scratch), CableSolve was be able to add the equipment in to the relevant areas within the database, capturing key details such as Purchase Order, Purchase Price, Asset ID, Barcode, Serial Number etc.
